Dave’s Night Out – with Bill Hall and Gregg Cagno

William J. Hall is a songwriter’s songwriter and poet’s poet!  A major feature at our Godfrey’s Open Mike, Bill is Kerrville New Folk award-winner and has appeared with Pete Seeger, Allen Ginsburg, Don McLean, and John Gorka, to name a few.  ainting musical landscapes inside “his tasty word salads,” as one critic described, Hall is a master at his craft and never ceases to inspire our audiences with for his insightful, universal love songs and fascinating snapshots of life.  

Also a native of New Jersey, now in Philadelphia, PA, Gregg Cagno serves up his thoughtful, witty and melodic songs in a Folk/Rock/Americana/Country blend that features his smooth, mellow voice and distinctive open-tuned guitar playing. Cagno, who cut his songwriting teeth as a teen at Godfrey’s open mikes, was a finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk competition, and has a song in the Smithsonian Folkways archives.
