“Bright Shining Stars” Debuts at #15 Top Blues Album on the Billboard Charts!

“2020 Boston Music Awards Nominee for “Blues Artist of the Year!”

“A charming voice and fluid guitar prowess are all an artist needs to keep a listener rapt.” – Bobby Reed, Downbeat Magazine

Danielle Miraglia comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson and an infectious stomp-box rhythm with tunes ranging from heart-felt to socially conscious that will move both your heart and hips. Her latest “Bright Shining Stars” debuted at #15 on the Billboard Blues Charts. Cascade Blues Association calls it “… tough as rawhide, but smooth as blended whiskey.”

Released Oct 2020 with Vizztone Label Group, it’s a solo acoustic folk/blues record that highlights the one-woman-band live sound she’s honed over the years, featuring guest appearances by talented friends Laurence Scudder, Peter Parcek, and Richard “Rosy” Rosenblatt. It includes originals as well as a collection of songs she’s been covering at live shows over the years, paying homage to influences like Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, and more, plus the title track “Bright Shining Stars,” written by her husband, Tom Bianchi.

Singer-songwriter, performer, and keen observer, Marc Douglas Berardo’s songs are sharply drawn and cast a net on unusual and beguiling characters and places.  His songs have been recognized at prestigious national festivals and events such as The South Florida Folk Festival, The Wildflower Arts and Music Festival, and the legendary Kerrville Folk Festival. His songs combined with an onstage presence that uses humor and deft storytelling rallies an audience and leads them into a deep and sometimes spiritual experience. It’s an adventure that brings to mind James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, Guy Clark, or Steely Dan with a touch of Mark Twain or Hunter S. Thompson.

For over thirty years MDB has performed thousands of shows big and small including nights with The Doobie Brothers, Little Feat, John Hiatt, Martin Sexton, Livingston Taylor, Kevin Welch, Red Molly, Guy Clark, and late David Olney among others.

Berardo’s interview and live performance featured on the Sirius/ XM Satellite Radio show The Village was voted one of the best of the year by listeners. No Depression Magazine called his last CD Whalebone: “sincere, fluid, charming and above all gripping.”

His latest record “The Beauty of This Now” was released on May 31, 2024, and was recorded at Jumping Dog Studios in Austin, TX.  It was produced by Texas living legend Walt Wilkins and his production partner Ron Flynt.   Marc released videos for two songs on the record. “I’m Listening Now” and “Another Day In July”.
