Wood Flower – A Modern Twist on Traditional Bluegrass with Captivating Vocals and Tight Harmonies

Ticket Price: $25.50 ADVANCE | $30.50 DAY OF SHOW

No Wood Flower show is complete without captivating vocals, tight harmonies, blazing duel Tony Rice inspired guitar leads, driving Scruggs style banjo, rousing bass solos and soulful mandolin lines, all topped off by fun and spontaneous banter!

Formed in the summer of 2022 between Josh Sceurman of Frog Holler fame, and a former student from nearly a decade before in Wes Johnson, Wood Flower set out to honor traditional bluegrass music while incorporating original compositions with a modern twist to create their own unique sound. After their inception, they were quick to call local banjo extraordinaire Michael Beaky, who is also no stranger to Godfrey’s stage, to pick the five string. Shortly thereafter, Wes’s flatpicking buddy from high school Gabe Delp joined the group, as well as mandolinist Steve Havrilla.

Over the past year, Wood Flower has entertained audiences at festivals and venues such as The Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival, The Sellersville Theater supporting The Seldom Scene, and now Godfrey Daniels! They’re excited to release a studio album consisting of both original and traditional songs, produced entirely by Wes Johnson in his home studio, in early 2024.
