Launching the Preservation Fee for Supporting the Future of Godfrey Daniels

Dear Godfrey Daniels Community,

Thank you for being a vital part of our journey in supporting live music at Godfrey Daniels. Since our inception in 1976, we’ve been committed to providing affordable admission and avoiding ticket fees for our patrons. This achievement was due to our robust supporting membership program and dedicated volunteer staffing initiative, which has been happening since the beginning.

However, in light of our mission to sustain a venue that supports performing artists – which we do in large part by paying those artists the bulk of our ticket prices – while managing rising operational and booking costs, we have come to find it necessary to make a slight adjustment to our ticket pricing.

Introducing the Preservation Fee:
After thorough research and review, the Godfrey Daniels’ Board of Directors has decided to introduce a Preservation Fee, amounting to $3 per ticket.

Effective Date:
The updated pricing will be going into effect on Monday, January 22, 2024, and will affect all current and future ticket pricing for online and in-person sales.

A Few Details:
• The new fee will be automatically included in the Advance | Day of Show ticket prices;
you won’t see it added to your cart at checkout.
• It will not be applied to the Jelly Bean Jam Family Series, the Open Mike at-door pricing,
or the LVCA Student Charter Arts Thursdays.

This Preservation Fee will help to cover some of our rising operating expenses; helping to keep our doors open and the music alive for the years to come.

The entire team at Godfrey Daniels expresses our gratitude for your understanding of our new adaptation to this changing world. Thank you for being part of the magic – as supporting members, audience attendees, volunteer team members, or performing artists – we value your presence and continued support of live music in our cherished space.

Sincerely,
The Godfrey Daniels’ Board of Directors
