Since the beginning, Godfrey Daniels has been a home for the community and artists to come together in music. The listening room offers an intimate space for unforgettable experiences.
For 50 years, everyone who has walked through Godfrey Daniels’ doors has known this place is something special. The stage is close. The lights are low. The artist looks you in the eye. There is nowhere else quite like it.
These renovations are about protecting that feeling — not changing it. The improvements are designed to work with the building as it is, preserving the floors, the ceilings, and the bones of a room that has earned its reputation night after night for half a century.

The Vision of Godfrey Daniels
The vision of Godfrey Daniels is to present the finest of folk music and performing arts through the “Godfrey’s Experience”; that is, the presentation of the folk arts in a comfortable and spontaneous environment, accessible to all ages and backgrounds. We seek to provide this rich experience by creating an intimate link among the musicians, audience members, and volunteers, an experience rarely found in our society today. Godfrey Daniels stands out by providing a professional, yet non-intimidating performance environment that encourages aspiring regional talent and further develops the fabric of our local musical arts community. We value the heritage of folk music, linking our past to our future. We are a vital part of the cultural fabric of the South Side Bethlehem and greater Lehigh Valley communities.

Godfrey Daniels exists to create and nurture the appreciation of traditional and contemporary folk music and performing arts by providing an intimate environment where professional artists, amateur performers, and audience members will be enriched by the unique experience of live performance.
The Business Case
Godfrey Daniels is looking to the future by buying the building and property and making necessary upgrades. Transforming the upstairs unit into a rental will create a sustainable stream of income to support our mission into the future. The location is like none other – near the South Bethlehem Greenway and as close as you can get to a vibrant live music venue. It will be, undeniably, the coolest rental in town!

· $250,000 to buy the building and property
· $250,000 to make capital improvements, including layout, sound system, lights, video, restrooms, and ADA accessibility. Transform the upstairs into an office space and short-term rental unit.
