UnBound Year-Round: Fall Story Cabaret!
PaidTicket Price: Tickets are Pay-What-You-Will

We are the stories we tell.
An evening of personal stories hosted by Touchstone Ensemble Member and professional storyteller Mary Wright. Like the long-running New York City (and beyond) spoken-word event, “The Moth”, this live storytelling performance features local professionals and an open-mic portion. Story Cabaret celebrates life the way we live it — in all of its complexity — and encourages us to speak from our hearts and to listen to each other.
Our theme for the evening is 3 out of 4. 3 out of 4 can be interpreted in many ways! Here are just a few:
- A waltz
- Measuring cups, or spoons
- The empty chair at the table
- Getting a 75% on a test
- Learning fractions
- Counting off in gym class
- Blood types
- A great name for punk rock band
- The chambers of the heart
And our Featured Tellers are Khalid Taylor and Catherine Moore.
Khalid Taylor, is an Afro-Latine gender-expansive teaching artist, documentary songwriter, and teaching artist whose work centers on amplifying voices from historically marginalized communities. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University exploring how collaborative, narrative-centered documentary songwriting can support individual and communal health.
Catherine Moore, is an educator and storyteller who has been bringing stories to life with her students at Moravian Academy upper school for nearly 20 years. She has academic degrees from Lehigh University, Northwestern University, and Oxford University. An active member of the National Storytelling Network, her The Story Doctor persona works with youth to discover and delight in the power of stories as medicine.
